How much would it cost to self publish a book of poetry?

Has anyone ever self-publshed a book? If so how successful were you at doing so? Have you made a profit of it?

  1. I want to second the Lulu recommendation. I've just self-published a book of my grandmother's stories through them, and I can tell you that the end product is excellent. I did it for my grandmother, but I actually have non-family members who are interested in buying. You can definitely create a buzz just by having the passion for what you are doing. I highly recommend the experience. It's very rewarding. You are welcome to contact me if you have any questions.

    Publishing at Lulu costs you nothing unless you want to order your own book. They also have marketing packages available which cost you, though.
